My name is Mitka Petrova, born on April 23, 1948 in Ruse. I started working in Naiden Kirov at the age of 18, back in 1967 on January 6th – Epiphany /St. Jordan’s Day/, in a metalworking workshop. Over the years, I changed various positions – I was in the Finished Product Warehouse, Head of the Electronics Warehouse, Purchasing, in the Cleaning Department. Since year 2000, I have been in Trade Department until now. I’ve been away only on maternity leave to raise my two daughters. I was a Komsomol secretary, participated in many social activities, carrying out leadership roles. I have seen the change of directors and management, the ups and downs of this industrial giant. In the factory, families and lifelong friendships were created before my eyes. We have experienced countless good and fun times. We’ve worked hard, but we’ve also celebrated. I turn with nostalgia to those times, when people were hardworking, responsible and moral. I welcomed the young additions with open arms and promised them, that I would be there for them as long as I could. The spirit never gets old, and today after so many years of service, I still arrive early in the morning with a smile. I am happy when I complete tasks or if I can help a colleague. I look forward to welcoming more New Years with the team and to witness a new rise of Naiden Kirov!
